For the serious artist and aspiring professionals. Focused quite work time & individual guidance in technique, materials, content and series development. Serious crits are held at the end of every session to further artistic growth and develop speaking skills. All mediums. Your tuition is your reservation in class. Due to small class size we will not hold classes without preregistration. Last minute sign-ups are welcome if space is available. Call the day before class so see if there are openings. "Anyone Can do This" Beginners Oil Painting with Lorelle Bacon!
Wed, Jan 25 Ð Mar 7th (no class Feb 29th)

Tuition : $225 plus $25 supply fee.
For beginners and those wanting brush up. Become comfortable with oils, brushes and basic techniques. Learn to mix the colors using only red/yellow/blue, starting with simple step by step follow-along painting and then choosing your own subjects from furnished references. The last 30 minutes will be a gentle review of your progress.
"Anyone Can Do This" Watercolors

Beginners will learn how to achieve a variety of textures, and practice techniques of washes, dry brush, wet in to wet and more as experienced painters work on new projects under Lorelle's experienced guidance. You will be amazed at what you can do in this comfortable easy moving class. I promise you will NOT be overwhelmed!

Cold Wax and Oil Painting!

Explore the diversity of the cold wax medium used with oil paint, pigment sticks, powdered pigments and many more techniques. Cold wax medium is wonderful for oil painters to experiment with non-traditional tools to achieve texture and finishes similar to encaustic without the "caustic" fumes and heat. This exciting medium is gaining widespread popularity world wide!

"A Field of Color" Feb 18th - Learn about the color field painters and practice some techniques such as dripping, pouring and staining. Make a beautiful wall hanging and small works on canvas and paper.
"POP goes the OP", March 24th - Make some cool art in the styles of the POP and OP artists of the 20th century and learn what made these artists tick. Colorful, MOD and fun is the theme!
"A New Attitude!" Apr 21st - Find out what the Neo-expressionists or "The New Wild Ones" of the 1970Õs and 80Õs were all about as you explore new expressions in your own art with color, expressive marks, words and primitive imagery. Can you draw a stick figure? This class is for you!!
